Summer Colour at Oaks Farm Cottage

As spring has faded away so too has the focus of the garden. The Long Border was so vibrant right up until June and into early July and now the Pond Borders is taking over as the real show stopper.

Gorgeous echinaceas, knifophias, eupatorias, persicarias, agapanthus and a collection of ornamental grasses are having their moment and giving the garden some beautiful colours and textures.

These will go on now into the autumn and the seed heads will be kept into the winter for their interesting form and movement, not to mention the benefit to wildlife.
